It is always with a bit of trepidation that I begin anything new. I get that gnawing feeling in the pit of my stomach and the butterflies begin to appear. The first step is always the hardest to take. Facing the unknown is always a big step. Setting out on the campaign trail is just like beginning anything new. Will there be such a great welcome at a school that I will be escorted around the building to meet teachers? Or will I be met at the office with a lukewarm reception which results in my greeting of few teachers?
I began my campaigning this week and I have to say that, for the most part, I was met with warm welcomes! I love meeting and discussing with teachers, although I have to admit that a quick hello at the classroom door does not leave much time for in-depth discussion. However, please don't hesitate to express a positive comment or a concern if I do appear at your classroom door. Or leave a comment on this blog. I would love to have feedback on my posts! Just comment as anonymous or leave your name at the end of your comment if you wish.
I hope to visit as many schools and teachers as I physically can over the next four weeks. I hope to see you on my journey!
